We always have to have at least one meal at Mother's. They make delicious po' boys and we always split a Ferdi Special:
Another favorite is Deanie's Seafood restaurant. Rather than the usual bread or rolls, they serve these spicy little red potatoes before the meal:
David had a steak and I had blackened redfish with lump crabmeat on top. Oh. My. Goodness.
A new-to-us favorite is the Royal Street Deli. I am fond of the Black and Bleu sandwich which consists of steak bits in a garlic marinade, fresh spinach, red grapes, red onion, bleu cheese and balsamic vinegar dressing. It comes with a side of sweet potato salad:
No trip to the Big Easy is complete without café au lait and beignets at Café Du Monde:
