In my kitchen

Just wanted to share a couple of quick pictures today. Last week David was on a business trip and had time to kill.  He went to Mall of America and "checked in" on Facebook.  I commented and asked what he was buying for me.  When he asked what I wanted I told him that was a dangerous questions since I knew there was a Williams Sonoma there. Being a very nice, yet clueless-about-prices husband, he again asked what I wanted.  This is what I told him is my dream purchase:

But I made it clear that I knew it was WAY expensive.  Apparently he looked it up on his phone and realized I wasn't kidding about the price. He then asked if I'd like a new, small spatula.  He knew that the handle had broken on my favorite Pampered Chef mini-spatula:

So this is what he brought me:

I love it!  It is very well constructed and should last forever.  Thank you, honey. :)

And here is a picture of the organic produce I bought today:

There is a locally owned and operated organic bakery not far from us and they are now carrying organic produce and some organic beef and chicken as well.  The owner gets in a shipment bi-weekly and if you sign up for the buyers club, you can purchase these at a really reasonable price.  Today I bought green beans, Yukon Gold potatoes, spinach, strawberries, peaches, tomatoes, zucchini, cherries and a loaf of whole wheat bread (because it's too hot for me to want to bake my own!).
