Cheesy Garlic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Cheesy Garlic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Cheesy Garlic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops

I adore searching for and pinning recipes on Pinterest. And occasionally I even try them. Last night I gave one a whirl and it was definitely a keeper. You can click on the link under the photo for the original recipe. I followed it pretty closely but did simplify the method a bit.

Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup shredded colby-jack cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. season pork chops with salt and pepper (both sides)
  3. mix garlic, brown sugar and paprika together then coat both sides of the pork chops with this mixture
  4. pour a tiny bit of the melted butter into a square baking dish and spread to coat
  5. place pork chops in baking dish and drizzle with remaining melted butter
  6. bake 20-30 minutes until just done
  7. remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, bake another 5 minutes until cheese is melted
I served these with buttered orzo, peas and salad. Absolutely delicious! There was quite a bit of yummy sauce in the pan which would be really good over mashed potatoes. I think that's what I will make to go with them next time.
