As usual, we ate all sorts of delicious foods during our recent trip to New Orleans. For some reason I didn't take as many pictures of our meals as usual but I did capture a few:

Twenty-five cent peach martinis at Antoine's - absolutely delicious
I'd have to say that the three-course lunch with 25 cent martinis at Antoine's was the best overall experience food-wise. We met up with four friends and enjoyed a leisurely lunch followed by a personal tour of the historic restaurant by our waiter, Eddie. I chose the Oysters Bienville as my appetizer (fabulous!), stuffed redfish over corn maque choux for my entree and sweet potato cheesecake for dessert. All but one of us enjoyed the yummy peach martinis. I think a few managed the "three martini lunch" tradition but being the slow poke in the bunch I had only drank two by the time dessert was served and opted for coffee with the creamy sweet potato cheesecake with cinnamon strawberry sauce. Antoine's is rather pricey but this fall lunch special was quite a bargain at around $20. David and I had eaten there on our honeymoon 31 years ago but hadn't been back since. We shouldn't have waited so long.
